​As an established farm with over 20 years of experience, we're committed to supporting continual learning and skill building on our farm. We're focused on fair wages and a safe, supportive work environment. We're currently hiring for our harvest crew!

 

Morning Harvest Crew
Part-time, 7am-noon, minimum 10 hours/week.
Opportunities to work additional days or hours if interested.
late April-late November
$17/hour
 

  • This is a part time, seasonal position that has a particular focus on harvesting produce (cutting salad greens, bunching herbs and roots, bulk harvesting peppers, tomatoes, squash, cucumbers, and more!)
     
  • Must be adaptable to working in various weather conditions, have the ability to lift and carry moderately heavy loads, and have the physical stamina and flexibility to perform repetitive tasks while standing or kneeling.

Beeline it for New Haven’s “Armchair Naturalist" presentation to meet Kirk Webster of Champlain Valley Bees and Queens. His talk, “Beekeeping in Addison County, Yesterday and Today” will focus on why Addison County is an ideal location for pollinators yet is constantly changing due to increased pressure on the landscape. The room will be buzzing with information for both beekeepers and the general public.

Farmer Climate Forum: Climate Adaptation Planning for Flood and High Precipitation Conditions

Climate Adaptation Planning is a useful tool to assess risks and identify strategies to increase resilience and mitigate the impacts of climate change. We'll be led through this session by Sean Hagan of the Maine Farmland Trust and Sara Keleman of American Farmland Trust to discuss the process of climate adaptation planning with a focus on the impacts of flooding and high precipitation conditions.

Farmer Climate Forum: New England Climate Trends, Soil Hydrology, and Managing the Effects of Soil Saturation

Sean Birkel, Research Assistant Professor at the University of Maine and the Maine State Climatologist, will review Maine’s historical temperature and precipitation trends and future climate projections, and discuss impacts to the growing season. 

Sean will give an overview of online tools relevant to agriculture, including growing degree day and precipitation summaries, frost date estimates, and other resources.
