Looking for a place to live with low cost access to arable land? I'm looking for a housemate for a shared farmhouse and farm near South Royalton, its an old house and old hill farm high and dry with about eight acres of good open land and nice mostly rock free soil. It's not for folks looking for every modern convenience but if you like using a woodstove and storing veggies in a root cellar it's the place for you. It's a charming old farm up on the hillside at the end of a private road with some nice trails and swimming spots nearby.

There are lots of shared farm tools and we grow a lot of veggie basics at the moment, flint corn for masa, wheat, dry beans, garlic onions, tomatoes, squash, buckwheat, etc. as well as pork. and are open to anything you want to grow, as a collaboration or you can have your own garden beds.

Ideally looking for a fellow homestead scale farmer, but still need to rent the room if none can be found to anyone with any interest in agrarian adjacent lifestyle. The base price for a large well lit room and farm share is 800 but can be made cheaper if you can help with some infrastructure tasks etc.
