Request for Proposals: Farm & Food Illustrations for NOFA-VT
Description of Organization
The Northeast Organic Farming Association of Vermont (NOFA-VT) is a nonprofit organization of farmers, gardeners, and consumers working together to grow an economically viable, ecologically sound, and socially just food system in Vermont, for the benefit of current and future generations. We work to support local, organic farmers and gardeners, make healthy food more accessible to all Vermonters, and build strong, inclusive, agriculture-based communities.
Project Description
NOFA-VT is overhauling the website (https://nofavt.org) & updating other marketing materials. We need beautiful illustrations to use as accents within our website, social media campaigns, and print collateral. This project includes commissioned drawings of 15-20 farm & food & people-related items, such as: carrot, cow, barn, farmer, shovel, tomato, greenhouse/hoophouse, chicken, people, plate of food, etc.
Timeline & Budget
- All proposals should be submitted by September 7, 2020.
- Selection will be completed by September 14, 2020.
- Final illustrations due by October 5, 2020.
- Budget: $1,000-$2,000
Selection Process
Artists are invited to submit samples of their work, along with a brief bio and a description of their connection to the agricultural community. This RFP will be posted publicly and widely distributed. In addition, NOFA-VT will contact known artists in Vermont, inviting them to submit a proposal. Preference will be given to artists with connections to farms, or food-related interests. Please submit attachments, or a link to a folder that can be downloaded, with no more than 10 images, 1MB-2MB each, along with your bio to [email protected] by September 7, 2020
