Hermit Thrush Homestead

Hermit Thrush Homestead is home to a small sustainable farm in Halifax and Guilford, VT. We grow 2 acres of diversified vegetables, raise laying hens, honeybees, and a small flock of sheep. We focus primarily on growing delicious vegetables, working with natural mineral amendments, compost, and cover cropping to build soil fertility and absolutely never using any herbicides, pesticides, or synthetic fertilizers. Our farm products are sold through our CSA and at our farm stand on Hinesburg Rd in Guilford, VT. This year we are offering two types of CSA shares. Our Farmstand share allows ultimate flexibility-- since our farmstand is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from May through November, you can pick up whatever you want, whenever you want through the growing season. In exchange for your membership, you'll receive free credit at the farmstand, so all your purchases are discounted through the season. Our Boxed share is delivered right to your doorstep every other week from June through October. We choose a variety of ripe, freshly picked veggies, you choose whether or not you'd like to include eggs or homestead made items such as pesto or salsa. We'll send you an email of what to expect in your box 48 hours in advance, so that you can plan your shopping and meals around your CSA share. We'll deliver to any residence or business in Brattleboro, Guilford, Halifax, and Marlboro, VT.
