We’re living in challenging times. Still, we, as NOFA-VT members, are collectively holding a vision of a verdant, just, and delicious future for all living beings. To get there—despite the chaos we’re surrounded by—we need each other more than ever. Let’s grow our community strength and chart powerful ways forward, doing more together than we can do alone.

This is one of a series of member meetings held around the state, and is specifically for VOF Certified producers and processors! We know that some of your challenges are unique among our membership and we want to hear from you. We hope you’ll join us!

  • April 14, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, Mad River Valley (exact location TBD)
  • April 29, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, The Alchemist (beverages courtesy of Alchemist Brewing!)
  • May 1, 12:00 - 2:00 pm, Rutland Free Library (VOF-certified producers and processors only, please)

Over the past month at other member meetings, we’ve been building a shared analysis of what’s most imminently at stake for us—key investments in organic farming are at risk, threatening not only our public investment in healthy ecosystems but also our farmers and the webs of communities who depend on them. Many of our members are also vulnerable to the looming trade war. Our livelihoods are on the line. And we’re at risk of normalizing economic violence and threats to sovereignty.

These meetings are a space to support the development of collective actions rooted in hope, solidarity, and interconnectedness over a delicious potluck meal. At this meeting, we’ll have time to eat together, share information and ideas, and create a shared strategy for answering the question: “What now?” We’ll also be working on some fun, artistic materials for an upcoming action that farmer members are leading: come help us get ready!

We are also looking to identify folks who want to co-host a member meeting at their home, farm, or business in the coming months as we look to show up and engage with members in communities all around the state. Email Erin, NOFA-VT's Deputy Director of Engagement and Development at [email protected] if you’re interested in collaborating with us to host a member meeting in your neck of the woods.

If this date or location doesn’t work for you, we’ll be offering future opportunities to gather around the state, so stay tuned.

Together is the way!
