Dr. Allen Williams and his colleagues at Understanding Ag. have been leaders in working with farmers and ranchers across the U.S. and around the world to increase their understanding of soil health practices and how they can make any farming operation more successful.
If you have pastures that you think are not preforming at their peak and would like to hear Dr. Allen Williams' take on pasture issues and solutions, as well as how other farmers in the area are managing their fields - this is the event for you! Bring your shovel and your opinions. Be prepared to share your experiences and be open to hearing from others.
This workshop will focus on practical and applied pasture science. It will be relevant no matter what livestock you are raising on pasture.
There is no parking at the pasture - we will be shuttling people from the East Thetford Park and Ride (2 minute ride). Shuttles will start running at 11:45 a.m. Weather permitting - we will be outdoors much of the 3 hours, please dress appropriately. There is no bathroom on site either - so plan accordingly. Attendance is limited and registration is required.
