Hi all!

My name is Abigail des Groseilliers. I have a lifetime of experience on various dairy, meat, and vegetable farms in almost all areas of New England (especially the Northeast Kingdom) and am currently studying for my Sustainable Food & Farming degree at the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. I have a lot of knowledge and experience to share in regards to how to manage soil health in pastures/forests/savannahs/orchards/barnyards, how to implement IPM strategies (integrated pest management), rotational planting and grazing, irrigation techniques, livestock health, garden management, marketability, efficiency, production, employee management, office organization, establishing partnerships, and much, much more. I am highly enthusiastic about dairy and beef cattle, horses, pigs, goats, bees, sheep, vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, herbs, mushrooms, solar, water, soil, crops, arbory, cheese, farmer's markets, native flowers, and EFFICIENCY

The approach I take to maintaining and establishing sustainable methodologies includes an initial visit to your farm where I take a tour and assess your current land production and efficiency levels. We then create a comprehensive Standard Procedure Plan (SPP) together that constantly works to improve all operational and dormant areas of your farm. We will discuss short and long term goals, consider usable budgets, decide on a timeline that works best for you, and you will be provided with resources that can boost your chances of becoming a successful regenerative farm. This system is designed to be as stress free and as effective as possible without cutting into your valuable farming time too much. Having an open mind to new endeavors and a willingness to cull unproductive projects is a must.

Although I am in a transition time where I am unable to afford my own land I would still like to dedicate my time to helping others with established farms or those who are interested in starting a farm on their land by providing insight, tools, resources, and a designated person of contact for all things regenerative/organic/restorative/sustainable/etc. I am based in Hardwick, VT and am able to travel (please let me know your farm's location upon contacting me to ensure I can get there in a reasonable amount of time) for regularly scheduled consults, or to do video calls once we have established a Standard Procedure Plan for your farm. My rate is $25/hour with an added travel charge of $1 per mile away from the 05843 zip code. Please reach out to me with any questions, concerns, and curiosities you might have about transitioning or establishing your farm as organic, regenerative, and sustainable. I look forward to being of service!
