The University of Vermont (UVM) seeks an Administrative Assistant for the Northeast Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education (SARE) program. With funding from the USDA, Northeast SARE administers 6 competitive grant programs for farmers, researchers, educators, graduate students, and others in the 12 Northeast states (Maine to West Virginia) and D.C., with a current annual budget of $10 million. The person in this position will support Northeast SARE staff with a variety of tasks. They will review and process invoices and service agreements, enter financial data, update and maintain spreadsheets, collect, prepare, format, and distribute documents, schedule meetings, assist with meeting logistics, take minutes at meetings, and perform other clerical tasks. Northeast SARE is especially interested in candidates of color and candidates with experience working in communities of color and other socially disadvantaged communities. The University is especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the institution. This is a year-round, full-time position with full benefits package provided by UVM, housed in the South Burlington office of University of Vermont Extension, or possibly another UVM Extension office.
