There's a room opening up on our small farm, we have 60 acres of shared land and forest, grow winter wheat and dry beans and vegetables, raise a few pigs each year for storage meat for our own consumption, and have a considerable garden to supply a more or less full diet year round, no dairy so far though. Biking or short car ride to South Royalton, on a sunny hillside, good swim spots near by, it's a pretty idyllic place to live! Old 1830's farmhouse with barns and outbuildings, we split the costs of the house and utilities, and share the land in a way that makes sense, you can open up your own plots for your own garden/farm projects, pasture is available for animals, barn space for hay storage, etc. and you can join in the existing activities for a share of the produce. Room and farm share is 750 plus utilities, available mid april onwards You'd live with one other farm sharer and a rotating crew of helper/visitors in the summer.
Another bonus is there is a nice hand tool woodworking workshop, good library, and lots of small scale farm equipment.
