This a a homeowner property, not a business. We have a barn, a workshop and several acres of land that we keep up. We are looking for an individual to work for 20-25 hours a week who enjoys/tolerates : ) working outside in all seasons, and doesn't mind a fair amount of physical work. Some of the tasks that need doing regularly are feeding and general care of horses along with keeping the barn clean and organized. There is also tractor work, brush clearing, fence repairs and basic carpentry projects. It would be helpful to be familiar with equipment and power tools, to have mechanical skills and to be handy with fixing things in general. We have an outdoor wood boiler that heats our home and part of the barn. Once the cold weather sets in again, there is firewood to handle and the stove needs some maintenance to stay in good working order. This position can be flexible as far as days and hours. Reliability and compatibility are most important. Pay rate is based on experience and capabilities. With that said, we do believe in fair and living wages.
