About the Opportunity
Seeking an individual for a combined Farm Hand and Herbal Assistant position.
In 2023, we incorporated Chantry Farm, a 15+ acre oasis in Brattleboro, Vermont. For the last seven years our emphasis has been on creating a lasting impression on the earth and our community by growing medicinal herbs, utilizing organic and applied biodynamic practices and principles. We are driven by a deep commitment to nurture our land to create quality herbal medicine for the health and happiness of all.
We are currently looking for someone 30-40 hours per week who is professional, hardworking, dedicated, and committed to working with us for at least our full season from (April 1-November 1, 2024). The ideal candidate would be a motivated individual who can work effectively with others and who is looking to work on an organic and biodynamic farm; additionally, our new team member would have a passion for herbalism, ayurvedic medicine, and a desire to work with a naturopath and an arborist who together have over 50 years of combined experience.

Job Requirements:
This job requires someone who is able to multitask, has core values pertaining to punctuality, exudes a strong work ethic and shows up with a positive can-do attitude.
Other important requirements for this position:
- Reliable transportation
- Authorized to work in the United States
- Physical strength and flexibility to do farm work and be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work outside in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work in a group or independently.

As a Farm Hand your work will include:
- outdoor manual labor activities
- cultivating earth and plants
- planting
- weeding
- harvesting
- processing
As an Herbal Assistant your work will include:
- assisting in the production of all things herbal, including- custom herbal blends, extracts, essences, oils and many other products.
- light clerical duties pertaining to our herb business.
