Taproot Nursery in Weybridge VT is a new resource for those interested in agroecology, edible landscapes, and useful trees and plants for perennial food systems. Our goal at the nursery is to provide affordable seedlings from good seed sources to help farmers and individuals realize their visions for a more soil-friendly future. We believe strongly in the power of soil to sequester carbon and promote ecosystem health, and our trees are grown in beds without the use of plastics, synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides, or tillage. Trees and plants are shipped or ready for pickup in bare root form while dormant in November and April. Available now are Hybrid Chestnuts, Hybrid Hazelnuts, Seaberry, Black Locust, and more!
