JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for someone to join our livestock crew. Basic responsibilities include daily livestock chores, egg washing, and helping with farm building and cleanup projects. In the summer it will also include fencing, moving animals, and broiler chicken processing,
We are open to being flexible with hours. Some weekend hours are required. 22-30 hrs/week, with the possibility of more in the summer.
This job also has the potential to transition into a management position, with the right candidate taking over day to day management of our layer flock.
The ideal candidate should:
Have some previous farming experience
Be able to work efficiently
Be comfortable interacting with a variety of farm animals
Be able to work both solo and in groups
Be willing to learn, but also be confident to take initiative with tasks
Be able to problem solve on your own
Be able to work long hours on your feet, lift 50 lbs
Have some familiarity with tools
We are willing to train the right candidate regardless of experience.
Pay starts at $16/hr.
