Old Road Farm is starting the search for a farm manager/crew leader position for the 2025 season. We are a VOF certified organic vegetable operation in Granville VT, growing on about 5 acres with eight greenhouses. We run a crew of about 3-5 people throughout the season. This role would help with day-to-day harvest and crop maintenance, work closely with farm owners to set weekly objectives, and lead the crew to ensure critical tasks are accomplished in an efficient manner when farm owners are called to other needs on the farm. Farm experience is required and some leadership experience strongly preferred. Pay starts at $20/hour with full time work available mid April through October and part time hours available during March, November, and December. There is the potential for on farm housing in a new private studio apartment starting this October for the right person. On farm housing would not be included in base compensation and is not required for this position. This could be a great position for someone with strong experience who is looking to take the next step in their farming career. Good people skills and a positive attitude are a requirement.
