We are a small eco conscious community located in Johnson Vt looking for head gardener to be in charge of a large garden growing veggies and flowers. In exchange for 12 hours a week you will receive a private cabin located right in the garden with access to a community kitchen as well as swimming ponds, sauna, yoga classes and art studio.
Responsibilities will include:
Prepping beds, (we practice minimal tillage with a broadfork), mulching, composting, weeding and watering, collecting cardboard to cover weedy areas through out the summer. You will also be in charge of a large blueberry patch picking them as they ripen. May up to mid June as well as in Mid September to October more hours will be required so you will be compensated at an hourly wage for that time period.
