My wife and I are looking for land with housing to rent (and possibly purchase) to start a farm and education center. Our dream ever since we got married in Arlington 30 years ago was to return to Vermont to start a small farm and live a life more connected with nature. I am a self employed designer and my wife is a teacher. I have worked in greenhouses, on flower farms and on my grandparent’s farm since I was a kid. We’ve always had a garden wherever we lived. We have a passion for growing food and feeding people. We created and funded an organic school garden that we ran for 10 years at the school where my wife worked as the librarian. We wish to combine my passion for growing and her passion for literacy and nature to create a resource for the community.
We sold our home in CT last November and are currently renting in Windsor County. We are hoping to find farmable land with housing that is available immediately so we can start building our dream and get our hands in the soil.
