Bear Roots farm is a diverse 355 acre Certified Organic hill farm combining crop fields, wood lots, pasture and natural habitat. We are located in Barre and Williamstown Vermont. 25 minutes south of Montpelier. Our primary retail location is the Roots Farm Market located in Middlesex VT.
We are looking for an individual who can be a multi purpose facilitator for our complex and diverse business operation. This is an opportunity to contribute existing skill sets while also gaining new skills while learning our farm systems. This is a seasonal job with the strong possibility of becoming a year round position.
*Experience 1-2 years farm or farm-related experience
*Basic knowledge of QBO

*Year-Round High Tunnel Production Weekly Wholesale distribution & communication
*Weekly email correspondence
*Utilize QBO for invoicing
*Coordinate & schedule with distributors
*Pack & delivery Store Liaison
*Correspond with store/kitchen staff for produce, seedling, compost needs
*Pack & delivery
*Oversee seedling/perennial crop availability CSA

This position is seasonal (April - Late November) with the intention of training the right candidate for longer term, year-round employment. The ideal candidate will be flexible, organized, reliable, excellent at communicating, and have a great sense of humor.
