Arbor Farm Market is a farmer-owned shop in lovely South Hero, VT specializing in local produce and Vermont products. We are hiring part-time retail staff to assist with day-to-day market responsibilities, including customer service and stocking. Please see below for additional details. 

 

Responsibilities:
- Greet and help customers throughout their store visit, including completing customer transactions using a Square POS system

- Upkeep compelling product displays with close attention to maintaining a robust fresh produce and live plant inventory

- Maintain a tidy and welcoming shop space and actively cultivate a community-oriented atmosphere

- Work closely with the market manager to tangentially support administrative tasks and business development

 

Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 16 years of age and able to lift 40 pounds

- One year professional experience in a retail/agricultural setting preferred; willing to train the right candidate

- Familiarity (and enthusiasm!) for local food systems, especially within Vermont

- Track record of being an innovative team player with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment

 

Compensation: 
- Hourly, dependent on experience
