Cedar Circle Farm & Education Center is a nonprofit, certified organic farm located on over 50 acres of conserved land along the Connecticut River in East Thetford, Vermont. Our organization has a deep commitment to developing regenerative agriculture systems for our annual vegetable and flower production and to offering educational programming that builds connections between our food, ecosystems, and community.
Our farm is a community hub with a farmstand, retail greenhouses, a farm kitchen, a coffee shop, a cut flower garden, education programs, and unique CSA options. It’s a place where folks can learn about and deepen their appreciation for organic regenerative agriculture.
We are looking for a responsible, self-motivated, and detail oriented Administrative Coordinator to provide direct support to our Executive Director, carry out general administrative activities, and to assist in daily office needs. This is an exciting opportunity for a hard-working team player looking to make an impact in a community-minded organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Administrative Coordinator (AC) is responsible for executive support and office coordination. The AC works directly with the Executive Director in executing administrative responsibilities and is expected to handle confidential financial or business-related information with professionalism and integrity.
Duties Include:
- • Assist the Executive Director in communication with program partners, insurance providers, donors, and other key stakeholders.
- • Assist the Executive Director in maintaining hiring systems and employee benefit offerings
- • Interact and communicate with the public through answering phones and directing calls as needed, as well as monitoring and responding to emails sent to the general farm account.
- • Data entry, organization and management of spreadsheets used for tracking memberships, registrations, etc.
- • Support the administration of our CSA program, working closely with the Outreach and Engagement Coordinator, Bookkeeper, and Retail Manager.
- • Maintain and refine office organization system
- • Order office supplies; research new deals and suppliers
- • Assist with large and small events in collaboration with department managers as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Skills and Experience
- • Proven experience in an administrative-type role
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, in particular) and Google Suite/Workspace
- • Excellent time management skills; ability to multitask and prioritize work
- • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- • Strong organizational skills

COMPENSATION
This is a full-time, year round position. The Administrative Coordinator is an hourly position, $20-21 per hour, with benefits including paid time off, healthcare coverage, retirement contributions, fresh produce, and a discount in our farmstand, greenhouses, and Hello Café.
