Join all seven NOFA chapters in Amherst, MA for a weekend of learning, networking, and fun with people who are transforming the food system at the NOFA Summer Conference! With hundreds of practical skills and farming workshops, the conference features live entertainment, children's and teen conferences, a country fair, organic meals, 100 exhibitors, and much more.
There are eight specialized workshop tracks, including Beginning Farmer, Community Supported Agriculture, Grazing, Nutrient Density, Organic Land Care Track, Permaculture, Cooperatives, Winter Growing and Season Extension. On Friday, August 9th, five half-day pre-conferences on bees, flowers, poultry, farm profitability & soils will happen, featuring presentations by several Vermonters like "Farming Smarter, Not Harder" with Richard Wiswall, "Honeybee Hive Products" with Ross Conrad, and "Growing and Marketing Cut Flowers" with Diana Doll.
Affordable registration and creative financing options are available, like camping and dorm housing, work exchange, the Farming Education Fund, and group discounts for 5 or more folks coming from the same farm, business, school, or organization.
