Farmers markets are integral to our thriving local food culture. This annual conference brings together market managers, organizers, vendors, and community members from across the state for a day of education, resource-sharing, and networking. The conference offers resources and information from service providers, state agencies, and fellow market organizers.
UPDATE 3/16/20: Conference to be hosted online
NOFA-VT and the VTFMA take seriously our collective responsibility to those most vulnerable in our society. We are committed to helping to flatten the curve of the COVID-19 infection rate to slow the spread of the virus. As such, we have decided to cancel our in-person conference and will host as much of it as we can online via Zoom. We will email a final schedule of events, instructions for using Zoom, and links to the webinar sessions to registered participants by March 17th.
We will record all webinars and make them available to participants afterwards. This is a great option for folks who may not be able to attend part/all of the day but still want to access the content. If you have not yet registered for the conference but would like to join us, please email [email protected]. The webinars will be made available by email to folks who are registered by Tuesday, March 17th.
In addition to our workshops, we will host the annual VTFMA meeting from 2-4:00pm, during which we will devote time for markets to connect about how they are responding to the Coronavirus situation. We know this is a stressful time for markets and we want to hold space for the farmers market community to come together over this issue.
