Vegetable Production Crew - Now Hiring!
40 hours per week (Full Time) -or– 24 hours per week (Part Time)
August - November
Job Overview: The field crew is a small, energetic team that supports every aspect of organic vegetable production, from seed to harvest to wash, pack, and delivery. Schedule:
Full-time: Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm --or– Part-time: Mon, Wed & Fri, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Support vegetable production in all aspects of the farm, including seeding, transplanting, weeding, hoeing, harvest, washing, packing, and more
- Be an active member of a small team to take on projects, solve problems, and work together
- Harvest, wash and pack orders for 25+ local and regional wholesale partners
- Cross-train and support other aspects of the farm
- Specialized roles on the team include deliveries, basic tractor work and infrastructure maintenance, let us know if you have experience or are interested in these areas.
Qualifications:
- Experience in farming, landscaping or other outdoor production work preferred
- Strong time management skills
- Positive attitude, good sense of humor, patience, and determination
- Ability to work primarily with a team, as well as independently when needed
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ready to ask for help and clarification
- Detail-oriented and able to retain instructions
- Reliable attendance and performance
- Able to lift 45 pounds, do physically demanding work and repetitive tasks while standing and kneeling for 8 hours per day
- Willingness to work in greenhouses and outdoors in any weather
- Valid ID and dependable transportation
Compensation & Perks:
- Compensation is based on skill and experience level, generally $14.50/hr - $16.50/hr
- Paid sick days and unpaid personal days (number of days depends on schedule); after 1 full season personal time starts to be compensated
