VT Organic Dairy Conference

The University of Vermont Extension Northwest Crops and Soils Program and NOFA-VT Organic Dairy and Livestock Technical Assistance Program are pleased to invite you to the 9th Annual Vermont Organic Dairy Producers Conference on March 14, 2019!

Conference highlights include the following:

  • Gary Hirshberg of Stonyfield Farm will share his perspective on the status and future of the industry.
  • Linda Tikofsky of Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA, Inc. will share some basic and practical information about milk quality and how to produce it on your farm.
  • Larry Tranel, an economist from Iowa State University, will discuss the economics of everything from low cost parlors to robotic milking machines.
  • Wade Miller from Organic Valley will share information on Profit Circles including what they are, how to create one,and tools that can help fuel discussions. He will share experiences from farmers in other regions currently using them as well.
