Thursday, August 9, 2018 - 3:00pm to 6:00pm
FSMA…GAPs…CAPS…OMG! Need help navigating the maze of food safety regulations? This workshop is for farms open to visitors that sell or serve food and agricultural service providers who support them. Learn which regulations matter for farms of all types and sizes, and meet the experts you can call on when you have questions. A tour of Cedar Circle Farm’s food safety systems will demonstrate best practices for produce and prepared foods in the farmstand, PYO fields, kitchen, and cafe.
The workshop registration fee is $10 per person and includes light refreshments from Cedar Circle Farm.
This workshop is hosted by University of Vermont Extension, the Vermont Farm to Plate Network, and the Farm-Based Education Network in collaboration with NOFA-VT, the Vermont Agency of Ag, and the Vermont Farm Bureau.
