Edible Landscapes for the Homesteader/Gardener

Saturday, August 17, 2019 - 2:00pm to 5:00pm

Ripe fruit, flowers, and healthy soil are a few of the benefits that come when we integrate fruit trees, berry plants and nut trees into our gardens and landscapes.

Join Nicko Rubin for a workshop at East Hill Tree Farm and discover their extensive edible landscape plantings including, pears, plums, chestnuts, hazelnuts, hardy kiwi, seaberry, blueberry and lots more. We will discuss strategies for establishment and maintenance of our edible landscapes as well as techniques for building long term soil health via mineral balancing, organic matter, and companion planting.
