Community Teaching Garden Course

Wednesday, March 27, 2019 - 6:00pm to Saturday, October 19, 2019 - 6:45pm

The Community Teaching Garden Course is a unique garden education program offered by the Vermont Community Garden Network to teach adults how to grow their own food in a fun, supportive, and cooperative learning environment.

In 2019, we are running a BEGINNER COURSE for new or relatively new gardeners who are interested in learning how to tend to an individual garden plot, and an ADVANCED COURSE for individuals with more gardening experience and an interest in collectively managing a mini market garden. Both courses follow the rhythm of the growing season through weekly lessons and hands-on garden work.

Beginner Course: 22 weeks (May 6 – October 3), Mondays & Thursdays, from 6:00 to 8:00pm. The garden site is located at the Ethan Allen Homestead in the New North End
$700 – Sign up and save $50 before January 31!

Advanced Course: 30 weeks (March 27 – October 19), Wednesday evenings, 6:00-8:00pm and Saturday mornings, 9:00-11:00am.
The garden site is located within the Tommy Thompson Community Garden in the Intervale
