Full Time Positions

Office Manager
NOFA Vermont is looking for a full-time Office Manager responsible for office administration and program staff support in our Richmond office.

Qualifications

Qualifications include familiarity with agriculture as well as experience with the Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Access, and Publisher. Ideal candidate is detail oriented, positive, able to prioritize and juggle many tasks, and has excellent organizational, interpersonal, and written skills, as well as a sense of humor. Experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Office Administration: answer phone and e-mails and respond to requests for information, coordinate and administer all office mailings, record staff meeting minutes, maintain inventory and order supplies, oversee the functioning of office systems – computers, copier, phones, and fax.

• Membership Development and Outreach: maintain and update membership database, assist with fundraising, update website, fill requests for sales, represent NOFA at events.

• Program and Administrative Staff Support: support all program staff with mailings and communication, support winter conference and summer workshop registration, support Executive Director develop grant applications and budgets

• Board Support: attend and take minutes for all board meetings

• Volunteer Coordination: recruit and coordinate volunteers for office and events

Compensation

Salary is $14/hour with benefits.

Part Time Positions

Farm to Community Mentor - Orleans and Caledonia Counties

NOFA Vermont is seeking a Farm to Community Mentor to work in both Orleans and Caledonia Counties. The goals of the position are to facilitate links between farmers, educators, and community members and to create and expand opportunities for local farmers and farm education.  

This part-time position is a $2,500 yearly contract (averaging 15-20 hours a month at $12.00 per hour).  We seek an individual who lives in Orleans or Caledonia County who will serve as a resource and facilitator between the farmers and educational and community institutions (including schools, local organizations, and civic organizations) in their region. Experience with farming or gardening and teaching preferred. Only people currently living in Caledonia or Orleans Counties will be considered.

Oven Maven

NOFA Vermont is seeking a summer "oven maven" to coordinate up to 30 oven events at farmers' markets, festivals and farm field days using our mobile, wood-fired oven.  The job is half-time and requires fine-tuned management skills, strong personal skills, and cooking experience.  Please contact Enid at enid@nofavt.org for additional information.
