We'd like to thank Stonyfield Farms, City Market, and the Roxy theater in Burlington for a donation of over $1000 generated by the Sustainability Film Series in June! Their generous donation will fund a film project of our own, starring Vermont organic dairy farmers. Thanks also to everyone who attended the film series!
This is our play on the highly successful singles phenomenon called 'Speed Dating.' In Speed Dating, each participant spends a pre-determined amount of time with one potential mate, then moves on to the next. In Weed Dating, it’s much the same—except, you’ll be weeding a bed of vegetables or doing other similar, light labor while getting to know other farm and food enthusiasts, farmers, and NOFA-VT staff.
The next Weed Dating event is Sunday, September 5 at Alchemy Gardens in Shrewsbury (Rutland County).
Looking to improve your gardening, homesteading, or farming skills this summer? We've got workshops on everything from root cellars to pasture management, food preservation to marketing, farm equipment to sugarbush biodiversity. There will also be some NOFAvore socials this summer with our mobile, wood-fired pizza oven!
