Pruning Ornamental Shrubs

Saturday, July 18, 2020 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Due to current requirements regarding social distancing, we will be holding workshops seminars as video conferences. We will send an email with instructions ahead of time and will provide you with technical support to make your experience as smooth as possible. Our goal is to keep you safe and to support you with all of your gardening needs and knowledge

In this seminar, which is a combination of classroom time and hands on demo in the gardens, we will focus on pruning ornamental shrubs in the home garden. There are many types of shrubs; some of them require specific times for proper pruning and some of them don't mind a liberal cutting back any time of year. Chad Donovan, horticulturist and Red Wagon employee, will demystify the process of summertime pruning and explain how and when to prune during the rest of the year. Please come with questions, feel free to bring photos of your shrubs, and together, we will make sure you leave feeling confident and full of understandable, expert advice.
