Sunrise Farm is in the process of hiring several people to fill out our 2021 crew. Following is a general description of the work opportunities. Specific details and responsibilities, including exact start and end dates, can be tailored to individual needs. Full-season positions run from April through November, with shorter stints focusing on the peak months of May through August. See website for more details.
The work is primarily focused on certified-organic vegetable production, though Sunrise employees are part of everything from seeding vegetables to slaughtering chickens to maple sugaring to light carpentry. Our CSA is 100-percent on-farm pickup, so you will have a chance to interact with CSA members whether you’re restocking the kale or selling lamb sausage. The job is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4 PM with a half hour off for lunch.
These are paid positions, starting at $12/hour, depending on experience, with all the fresh, organic vegetables you can eat; deep discounts on meats and cheeses and other items we sell; unlimited fresh air; sunshine as available. Short-term housing may be available for someone relocating to the area.
