Addison CRAFT is a farmer-led coalition & coordinated effort to bring established farmers, farm workers, aspiring farmers, and beginning farmers together for community-based on-farm trainings, straight from the hearts, mouths, and fields of seasoned local farmers in Addison County, Vermont.
We are in our 2nd year of Addison CRAFT in 2016, with 5-10 participating farms hosting and attending farmer-led trainings throughout the season. CRAFT gatherings are held monthly from June – October on participating farms in Addison County. During each gathering participants learn about a diversity of farm topics and systems and have the opportunity to network with other apprentices, farm workers, and farmers in their region.
Addison CRAFT is open to all farms in our region and every year we welcome new farms to the schedule. Whether you’re a complete farming novice, working on a farm, starting your farm from scratch or adding a new enterprise, CRAFT can serve farmers & aspiring farmers of any experience level. Contact Rachel Fussell, Farmer Education Coordinator: [email protected] and be a part of this important effort to strengthen the future of sustainable farming in Vermont.
