The Center for Sustainable Agriculture was established in 1994 as a unit within the University of Vermont to integrate university and community expertise to promote sustainable farming systems throughout Vermont and the region.

Intervale Center

The Intervale Center supports financially viable and environmentally sustainable agriculture. We manage 354 acres of farmland, nursery, trails, wildlife corridors and compost production along the Winooski River in Burlington, Vermont, and we share what we do and what we learn with others around the state and throughout the world.

Vital Communities: Valley Food and Farm Program

We are a non-profit program fostering the relationships that make agriculture a vital part of daily community life in the Upper Connecticut River Valley of Vermont and New Hampshire. We do this through publications, events and community partnerships that celebrate the region's year-round local bounty and bring together consumers, farmers, chefs, processors, schools, grocers, distributors and more. VT FEED

The mission of FEED is to raise school and community awareness about healthy food, Vermont farms and farmers, and good nutrition. We act as a catalyst to rebuild healthy local food systems by cultivating links between classrooms, cafeterias, local farms, and communities.

Women's Agricultural Network

WAgN provides education and technical assistance to those individuals interested in starting or expanding their agricultural endeavors.
