One of the biggest keys to 'sustainability' is transitioning to small scale, decentralized means of production. I am passionate about "self sufficiency," resilient communities, and local food. I have worked on a couple of different kinds of farms and it is very rewarding and satisfying work.

Physical Labor
I'm in shape, I've done lots of physical labor jobs and i LOVE IT.
I love haying in the hot sun, I used to work for a tree removal company, I worked mowing lawns/weedwacking and part time on a beef cattle farm. All very physical work, as is my current job of snowshoe tour guide and hiking tour guide at mt. snow vermont. Three snowshoe tours per day No Matter What the weather - raining, sub zero temps with fierce winds. I love to be outside. One of my favorite farm jobs, other than taking care of the animals and growing food, was haying in the hot sun. :)
