University of Vermont Extension has many agriculture programs that help beginning farmers some of which are listed below.

• UVM Center for Sustainable Agriculture
  Great programs for new farmers, including the Vermont New Farmer Network.
• UVM Extension's Beginning Farmer Webpage
  Lists the many resources and services they provide to farmers.
• Women's Agricultural Network (WAgN)
  A number of great programs for new farmers, including "Growing Places," a six week course that helps aspiring farmers explore the realities and possibilities of starting an agriculture-based business.

New England Small Farm Institute

Promotes small farm development by providing information and training for aspiring, beginning and transitioning farmers. .

Cornell University's Beginning Farmer Program 

Cornell University provides educational support to farmers, including a video series. The "Voices of Experience," video series has experienced growers talking about farming and the experiences starting a farm.
