Living Earth Farms has two locations: 3 tilled acres at Harvest Moon Homestead and 6 no-till acres at Moose Meadow. We have a wide variety of vegetables, fruits, wildflowers, and free-range eggs cultivated using organic methods with biodynamic influences. We have familiar staples, open-pollinated crops, and heirlooms for an assortment of old favorites and more unique varieties rich in diversity and flavor. Many of our vegetable and fruit varieties are All-America Selection winners. Fossil fuel inputs are minimized by using human power as much as possible and Vermont grown energy; and by replacing petro-chemically based fertilizers, herbicides, and fungicides with organic fertilizers and integrated pest management techniques that attract beneficial insects and microbes, while minimizing detrimental species. Living Earth Farms cultivates the soil and crops to ensure long term sustainability and produce food that is healthy for both people and the earth—a difference you can taste.

At our farm we offer a unique system for providing our members with the freshest produce during our 26-week season. We have discovered that not only do people want fresh from the farm, but they also want more choice in the varieties they receive. Each week we notify our members what is available on the farm and they tell us what they want. This allows for you to plan meals in advance, buy enough for storage, not receive items you won't use, and truly have a sense that we are growing for you.

Share distribution: There are currently many drop off points. Tuesday and Thursday are CSA days. You can pick up at the farm in Ascutney, or in various other locations, which are determined each year. They range Putney to Windsor, and Claremont to Springfield. We have a small-scale CSA farm
located just south of downtown Middlebury.  We provide our customers
with high quality produce grown in an environmentally beneficial
manner.  In addition to produce, we work to provide our customers with a
sense of community based around the CSA.  Our CSA pick-up provides
customers with the opportunity to spend time talking to one and other
and getting to know their farmers.  As one customer put it "I really
like the let's hang out atmosphere".
