What's a Coolbot? Low-Cost Storage for the Winter Market & NOFAvore Social (NOFA-VT Summer Workshop Series Event)
Pre-registration required (limit 25). Please contact the NOFA office to register, or register online.
We’ll look in detail at how to set up a Coolbot system and talk about other low-energy walk-in cooler options and ideas. We’ll share storage tips and anything else that comes up. We’ll tour our storage rooms and discuss their strengths and weaknesses, and review what we’d do differently if we knew then what we know now! We’ll also discuss winter market growth potential. Lee Blackwell and Ruth Richards of Blackwell Roots Farm market organic winter storage crops, frozen fruit, kimchi, and sauerkraut to wholesale outlets, on-farm, and at the Montpelier Winter Market.
This workshop will be followed by a NOFAvore Social with NOFA Vermont's mobile, woodfired pizza oven, at 5:30.
