Organic Pest ID and Management: Insects, Diseases and Weeds (NOFA-VT Summer Workshop Series Event)

Vermont State Agency of Agriculture Entomologist Jon Turmel, UVM Extension Plant Pathologist Ann Hazelrigg, and UVM Extension Vegetable Specialist Vern Grubinger team up with vegetable farmer Geo Honigford to help commercial organic and sustainable growers understand insect, disease, and weed problems and solutions. Take advantage of these expert eyes as they work together to teach identification tips for the most common and uncommon vegetable pests. Hosted by Hurricane Flats Farm, a family owned and operated organic farm cultivating over 50 different types of organic vegetables.

Directions to 975 S Windsor St, South Royalton: From I-89 south get off at exit 2, take a left onto Route 132 then at the stop sign take a right onto Route 14, in quarter mile take left over green metal bridge, stay with that road for approx 3 miles farm is on right before you reach village of South Royalton From I-89 north take exit 3, take left onto Route 107, at stop sign take right onto Route 14, in approx 4 miles take right onto the concrete bridge into village of South Royalton, at green take right onto S Windsor St, farm is on left 1 mile from the green
