Heirloom Wheat (NOFA-VT Summer Workshop Series Event)

Jack and Ann Lazor will provide us with a tour of their milling facilities and new grain hulling equipment. We will also tour the heirloom wheat varieties and other grain trials on the farm. Dr. Stephen Jones from Washington State University will teach tips on selecting and saving our own wheat seed. Learn from Jon Mellquist from Truckenbrod Bakery how to bake bread with locally-grown wheat. This workshop is sponsored by UVM Extension. Lunch will be provided by the NOFA Vermont pizza oven.

Directions to 421 Trumpass Rd, Westfield: Take Rt. 100 north from Morrisville (about 20miles). Go west/right on Rt. 58 go 2 miles turn north/left on Buck Hill Rd, go another 2 miles turn left on Trumpass Rd. Farm is at the end of drive.

Parking: Parking area will be signed.
